How to mimic piezoelectric pump

Julianna_J
Trying to model a piezoelectric pump using FSI. How? Whenever I try, it says "No Boundary Conditions Are Imposed on Component 1". Right now, I trying to do a vibrating rectangle (component 2) inside of a rectangle (component 1). What causes this?

Hello, could you also attach your model .fea file?

I want the top wall to  "vibrate", with its height varying sinuousoidally. (Like, when the height of the wall decreases, pressure at the top increases, causing flow...) Instead of having a set inlet and outlet, I want to make it so that the fluid flow in or out of the bottom two walls of the trapezoids depending on what they would do in real life in response to the vibrating piezoelectric. (Ei. both can either let fluid in or out, because that's what I'm studying--backflow and unidirectional flow.)

Thank you!

Think like what would happen at each of the bases of the shape if this were a syringe and you pushed/pulled on it

Thank you for attaching the model. After looking at it you need to Prescribe displacements (displacements = 0 is equivalent to a fixed boundary) on at least one of your solid boundaries (12, 13, and/or 14). The Wall/no-slip boundaries are only valid for fluid domains (as it sets conditions on the velocity (to zero)). (We should probably change so that incompatible conditions can not be selected in the Fluid-Structure interaction physics mode.)
