Simulation of droplet generation during Inkjet Printing

ahsansaleem
Greetings,

I am very new to CFDTool and the Simulation field. I want to know how CFDTool can come in handy as a replacement for Ansys Fluent for the CFD VoF simulation of droplet generation during the inkjet printing process. Is there any pre-built model template available, or do I have to build from scratch (I couldn't find any)?

Best regards,
Ahsan

Dear Ahnsan,

Although FEATool supports using OpenFOAM as a CFD solver which features a VOF solver for two-phase flows. This model is not yet supported in FEATool, but should be available in the future. As of now you can use FEATool to create OpenFOAM meshes and basic case files, which you might be able to modify for VOF simulation.
