Heat flux simulation issue

Larry Scipioni
heat flux simulation

Hi,
I am doing this fairly simple heat flux simulation but am getting an unusual result. Heat is coming into the system through the thin layer on top (uniform q0) and the ambient temperature for radiative heat flux out is set to room temperature (293K). Bottom boundary is also fixed at room temperature. However, near the origin the surface temperature drops well BELOW room temperature. Obviously I am doing something incorrectly, but I've checked my boundary conditions and materials properties.
Any insights would be appreciated.

I answered my own question. I had edited this layout a few times. The strange behavior made me think it best to delete and start over. Then a physically realistic result was obtained.
I'm leaving the post up as a suggestion for others.
