Are the CFD simulations able to use dual CPUs? If possible, what are the additional steps needed. I'm thinking of getting a cheap Dell Precision 7820 for CFD. Are there any issues that may arrise due to independent caching?
Yes, assuming it is a single shared memory system (not cluster) and supports standard OpenMP and MPI parallelization libraries it should work more or less out of the box (if you run Linux you usually shouldn't need to install anything, but if you run Windows you might need to install OpenMPI separately).
