"Invalid or Deleted Object" on transform attempt

This happened after a series of undo operations on a double chamfered, extruded ellipse that had gone through a series of transformations of scale (smaller and smaller) in the 'z' dimension.  The undo(s) brought it back to its "original", thicker shape.

Then on selecting the object and choosing "Copy/Transform Object" from the menu the following error was displayed:



The following files were saved:
invalidObject.fea
invalidObject.fes
invalidObject.m

I can try to reproduce it if you need to and are unable from what I have provided.
