STL Import Failure

Hello, I'm having problems importing all stl files generated by Solidworks 2016 into FEATool v 1.11. For even the simplest geometries I receive the following error:
"STL geomery import failed"
"Unmatched solid/endsolid tags"

Could anyone explain what this error means and how to fix it?

Without your actual file it is very hard to troubleshoot. The error message indicates that your STL file might not follow the standard ASCII STL spec ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/STL_%28file_format%29#ASCII_STL ). Please also have a look at the CAD import/export section of the FEATool documentation for tips ( https://www.featool.com/doc/geom.html#geom_cad_import_export ).
