Requirements running FEATool Multiphysics on Apple macOS

if i wanted to check out the functionality of this code with respect to structural mechanics & modal dynamics what do i really need on my macOS to make this happen?

You should not really need anything except having Matlab installed (note that the mac M1 ARM CPUs are *not supported*).

First, an official Matlab version for M1 needs to be released (by the Mathworks). And then all components which depend on external libraries need to be compiled (adapted and fixed) and tested for M1 which is quite a large undertaking and a lot of work (linear solvers, external solvers as openfoam, SU2, and Fenics, grid generation and geometry engine). So there is currently no schedule for this.
