2D Workplane Rectangle Revolve/Extrude Error

randress
New 3D DC Conduction problem. Geometry-->2D Workplane

Using default parameters:

Drawing R1  (.2 x .2 ) at (0,0):

Then Revolving R1:

Gets Error:

As does Extruding:

Where did I go wrong? Seemed pretty straight fwd. I assume that 2D Workplane (0,0) is coincident with 3D center (.5, .5, .5).

Kind regards,
-Randal

That is strange, I do not seem to be able to reproduce the issue. Can you verify that extrude/revolve from a 3D face works (not using 2D workplane)? And can you see a preview of the extrude/revolve operation in the original 3D view, when you open the extrude/revolve dialog box from the 2D workplane GUI?

I assume that 2D Workplane (0,0) is coincident with 3D center (.5, .5, .5).
Yes, in the specific case you have shown here. The local 2D workplane coordinate system will be aligned so that the red arrow will be the 2D x-axis, and yellow y-axis in the workplane selection preview with origin at the selected "workplane point".

Ok, I found the issue. It seems to be when the geometry object list pops up as a separate window that isn't handled. I will have a look and get it fixed. Non 2d workplane operations should work (I think).

And you added that one for me (auto undocked object list)...seems kinda like reporting my own bug :-)
Kind regards,
